Activity Logs for Everyday:
Many people find it easier to stick to their personal exercise goals if they record their progress in an activity log. Healthy Androscoggin encourages the use of activity logs so that community members can keep track of their exercise and measure their success at achieving their personal goals. Get Fit & Win, Healthy Androscoggin’s physical activity promotion program, uses this idea. For more information on Get Fit & Win, please click here.
If you do not want to participate in Get Fit & Win, but still want to increase your exercise by setting and tracking progress toward a goal, below you will find some general activity logs for your use. Simply write in the dates for the current week, then record your exercise intensity, type and amount each day. You may also choose one of the activity goals listed at the top of the first page of the log, or choose one of your own. Please note that the activity logs listed below are not intended to be used for Get Fit & Win. For a Get Fit & Win 2010 Activity log, please visit the Get Fit & Win 2010 page.
As you log your progress, if you have a bad week, don’t give up! Consider why your exercise didn’t go as planned and then think of ways to avoid the situation in the future. Or get more creative in how you achieve your exercise goals. Here are some easy ways to incorporate a little physical activity into your daily routine:
- Take the stairs whenever possible

- Play with your kids/nieces/grandchildren/dog outside, or choose an active game inside (duck duck goose anyone?) rather than watching TV or a movie
- Park farther away from the store. Don’t compete for an up-close parking spot, give yourself a mini-walk
- Take a walk on your lunch break
- Turn on some music and dance–for exercise and stress relief!
