COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
The Community Engagement Team at Healthy Androscoggin works with Central Maine Healthcare’s (CMH) three hospitals – Central Maine Medical Center, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital – to improve the health of the communities each hospital serves. We do this by:
Participating and facilitating the local and state Maine Shared Community Health Needs Assessment (Maine Shared CHNA) every 3 years
Creating and implementing a Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) for all 3 hospitals within the CMH system
Work as liaisons to help bridge connections between Bridgton Hospital, Central Maine Medical Center, and Rumford Hospital to the communities they serve

Projects and Programs
The Community Engagement Team provides support to the hospitals and community through programs and projects such as:
education on Intranasal Naloxone
embedding mental health and substance use programs within departments at the hospitals
distributing substance use disorder resources (Lakes Region, River Valley, Lewiston-Auburn) and Naloxone Take Home Kits
organizing Mental Health First Aid and trauma-informed trainings for the community, and
partnering with organizations to create Community Calendars of Events
